Clay Thornton is an associate attorney with The Picardi Law Firm, specializing in the representation of large self-insured employers in the defense of workers' compensation claims. He received his Bachelor's degree in 1999 from Emory University, and his Juris Doctorate in 2002 from The University of Tennessee College of Law. After receiving his law degree, Mr. Thornton began working at the Picardi Law Firm as a workers' compensation defense attorney. In June 2003, Mr. Thornton joined the Denver firm of White & Steele, P.C., where he continued his defense litigation practice with an emphasis on workers' compensation. In 2006, he moved to the western Pacific island of Yap where he served as law clerk and staff attorney to the Supreme Court of the Federated States of Micronesia. Mr. Thornton continued his court experience as law clerk to the Honorable Marcia S. Krieger at the United States Federal District Court in Denver before rejoining the Picardi Law Firm in June 2009.
